Poor communication! Unfortunately, I was running late for my cat’s appointment due to roadworks and bus diversions. I called reception in advance to let them know that I would be up to 10 minutes late and specifically asked whether this would be okay. The receptionist told me that they would let the vet know. However, when I arrived just 8 minutes late, I was told that the vet would no longer be able to see my cat that day. I completely understand that being late is my responsibility, and I appreciate that vets have busy schedules. However, I had made the effort to call ahead my arrival and was given the impression that the vet would be informed and that a short delay would be acceptable. If I had been told on the phone that arriving late would mean the appointment would be cancelled, I could have made a different decision. Travelling to the vet is already very stressful for my cat, and making the journey only to be turned away was extremely inconvenient and upsetting. Especially considering that our appointments usually take no more than 5 minutes, and we always make an effort to arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time. After being with this practice for two years and paying for a monthly subscription, I honestly expected better communication and a little more consideration. The main issue for me is not simply being late, but the fact that I called to let reception know on my way, was told the vet would be informed, and was still turned away without being made aware that this could happen.

Visited for the first time yesterday and it was an excellent experience. The reception staff were welcoming and friendly and our vet Alex was knowledgeable and brilliant with our cat.

Best vet practice ever! Everyone is so friendly and caring, its obvious that they love ALL animals. The vets and nurses are knowledgeable and the reception team are warm and welcoming and always try to help and assist. Never had a bad experience here. Highly recommend!

Had a terrible experience at this vet practice with one of my cats. He needed his bladder unblocked, and what should have been a routine appointment turned into a nightmare when the vet incorrectly placed his catheter, tearing through his urethra into his abdomen. I got a call saying I would need to pick him up and drive him to the Royal Veterinary College in London (no offer to help with transport, thankfully I have a car). He had to stay there for a week and was lucky to have survived, had to pay out £4000 of my own money on top of my insurance being maxed out (original estimate for the catheter was £800). Again, if I hadn't have been able to pay, he would have been put down, no help from Beech House. On top of that, when I complained and asked for a refund of the money I had initially paid Beech House, and to ask them to contribute towards the costs they had inflicted, they shrugged the whole thing off as an unfortunate circumstance, took no responsibility, and did not seem to care at all. Don't take your pets here. Edit to Beech House's reply for clarity - the total cost for my cat's treatment ended up being £6000. Beech House's estimate for the whole procedure, including overnight hospitalisation, was £800. Their error cost £5200 but luckily my cat is still alive.

Always a great, friendly, service from Beech house. I much prefer to visit an independent vet, I think my pets health & welfare are their more their priority than at a chain. I definitely recommend them to all.

Excellent service, clean premises, friendly staff ready with the treats and fusses-- and the dog loved vet Pablo. Thank you so much for helping us with the pet transport stuff at short notice! Really good experience. Shame we can't take you with us!
